This course provides an insight into one of the most famous plays by Shakespeare.
It covers significant features of the play as a Renaissance work, including an understanding of Macbeth as a true Renaissance character.
This course offers a unique understanding of the historical setting and conditions surrounding Shakespeare as a playwright and Macbeth as a character.

Most of the content will be based on reading and individual work on various study questions. However, there will also be some visual material as well as an essay in order to connect all the points.

Anja is an upper secondary teacher of English and Civics. Her passions are Literature and Linguistics. She teaches and speaks English on a daily basis at Fredericia Gymnasium (Danish Upper Secondary institution).
Her qualifications include Master's Degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Southern Denmark.
Anja has achieved extended didactic training and experience through almost 7 years of teaching. Her academic skills are excellent, and she has a job that allows her to constantly stay updated on issues relating to both of her academic disciplines.
